Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Opening Day: Go Cardinals!!!

Yesterday was opening day!!!  Eric is a big St. Louis Cardinals fan...so now, I am a big St. Louis Cardinals fan.  I really do enjoy watching baseball.  I especially like going to baseball games.  Some people say it is boring, but I don't think it is.  Eric has helped me understand some of the strategies that go into baseball, and that makes is super fun to watch!!!  Our little Savannah was a St. Louis fan too!  Here are a few pictures of her supporting the Cards!

Speaking of the color Red...Savannah loved Elmo.  Her favorite video was the one of Elmo singing with Norah Jones.  It didn't matter how sad she was, if you brought up the video of Elmo and Norah Jones, she would laugh.  I came across this video.  I love her laugh and how she starts dancing as soon as the music starts.

One final thing before I go.  I want to wish you all a Happy Easter!!!  As your hanging out with family, eating chocolate and peeps (my personal favorite) don't forget the reason that we have Easter!!!  Because of Jesus' death on the cross and His being raised from the dead, God's wrath was satisfied.

"It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed.  And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.  Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!" And having said this he breathed his last."  Luke 23: 44-46a.

"But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.  And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.  And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?  He is not here, but has risen.  Remember how he told you, while he was in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise."  Luke 24:1-7

Praise the Lord for the sacrifice He made on the Cross!!!  Even though I want Savannah here with me, how awesome is it that she gets to spend Easter in the presence of Jesus!!!

I am reading a book called "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn.  He quotes D.L. Moody in his book.  I like what he says: "Soon you will read in the newspaper that I am dead.  Don't believe it for a moment.  I will be alive more than ever before."  D.L. Moody

  1. I forgot Eric was a Cards fan. I inherited a love of baseball and the Cardinals from my daddy. I think I like baseball because it's so different from other sports--no goals, just bases! Savannah looked very cute in her red Cards jacket. I remember last October (when I had an opportunity to go home to KY), leaning my head against my daddy's shoulder while we watched the Cards win the series. If the series hadn't stretched out so long, I wouldn't have been with my daddy when they won--and I actually consider all of that a gift from God. It was one of the best moments of last year--maybe of my entire life. I loved looking at pics of Eric holding his girl, sharing those precious moments. It's just baseball, but there's something beautiful about parents sharing a tradition with their kids, and I am glad you shared those pics and memories. Love you, girl!
